
Toscotec continues the expansion of its covered production area with the inauguration of a new building – Workshop 9 – at its headquarters in Lucca, Italy. The new workshop is primarily dedicated to equipment loading and logistic operations, and it frees up space for the increasing manufacturing and pre–assembly activities at the facility. Toscotec’s production base in Lucca covers an area of more than 65,000 square meters which is devised for maximum manufacturing efficiency. Inspired by lean production, the site’s new layout has been designed to serve a fully integrated and compact logistic flow. Driven by a strong commitment to constantly improving the sustainability of its operations, Toscotec has streamlined material handling processes and has accomplished a significant reduction of energy consumptions and carbon footprint.
