On 25 March 2020, it was announced that the Board of Directors of BillerudKorsnäs had decided to withdraw the previously proposed extra dividend for 2019. At the same time, it was announced that the Board of Directors had the ambition to summon the shareholders to an extraordinary general meeting later during the year to resolve on an extra dividend provided that the uncertainty had decreased and the visibility in the market had improved.
The Board of Directors of BillerudKorsnäs has now made the assessment that the uncertainty remains high and the visibility in the market is still limited. Thus, the Board of Directors has decided not to summon the shareholders to an extraordinary general meeting during 2020 to resolve on an extra dividend.
The Board of Directors’ dividend proposal for the current year will as customary be submitted in connection with the publication of the year-end report for 2020.
