“Protect” meets the needs of manufacturers and distributors of fragile products such as furniture, glass, frames, metal parts (etc.) to protect their edges against all shocks.
The main advantage of this cardboard profile is that it can be used for different thicknesses (from 20 to 45 mm). Indeed, its “clothes peg” effect makes it very easy to insert, ensures a good clip and perfectly matches the shape of the edge to be protected. Its original design ensures efficient installation and protection, identical to that of foam profiles.
Delivered flat, this solution allows more profiles per pallet (+30%) than the standard foam solution, it reduces the number of pallets, ensuring lower handling and storage costs for customers; savings calculated via the Saica Pack COO (Cost of Ownership) tool.
“Clip Protect” is therefore an economical product (purchase and logistics costs) and ecological because it is made from recycled materials, easily flattened and recyclable. Finally, it can be developed in different lengths or designed to be cuttable to meet different needs.
Franck Reberat, Design Office Manager at Saica Pack Lamirande, had the honor of taking the stage at the Workstation in Paris on November 4th to receive his award from Henri Saporta, editorial director of Emballage Magazine. Franck Reberat testifies: “It is a real pride to receive a packaging award of the year on behalf of the entire team of designers at Saica Pack Centre who work every day to develop tailor-made sustainable solutions for our customers. A special thought for the designer Philippe Delias, who designed this innovation a few months before retiring.”
