Repacar consolidates its presence and representativeness in Europe

Repacar will hold the presidency of ERPA, the paper recycling branch of EuRIC (The European Recycling Industries), following the appointment of José Andrés Martín Cubero, a member of its Board of Directors.

José Andrés Martín Cubero, representing Repacar and a member of its Board of Directors, was elected this week as the new President of ERPA (European Recovered Paper Association), the paper recycling branch of EuRIC (The European Recycling Industries).

The elections were held within the framework of the general assemblies of the different sections that make up EuRIC, which have taken place this week. Alongside him, Romy Kölmel, representing bvse (Germany), and Olivier Thomas, from FEDERREC (France), have been appointed as Vice-Presidents of ERPA.

“It is an honor for Repacar, and for our entire sector in Spain, to actively participate in European leadership at a time of great challenges and opportunities. Our voice will be present in the construction of the future of recycling in Europe,” stated José Andrés Martín, CEO of the company MC2 Recycling, after his appointment.

The designation of the presidency —which will have a duration of three years— highlights the solid track record of the Spanish recovered paper and cardboard recycling sector and Repacar’s commitment to the circular economy and sustainability in Europe. Likewise, the presidency represented by Repacar consolidates its influence in European forums, where it will play a fundamental role in decision-making regarding regulation, sustainability, and competitiveness in the recycling value chain.

“For Repacar, this designation is a recognition of the collective work of our member companies for their progress towards more efficient and responsible resource management, and their commitment to the transition towards a circular and sustainable economic model,” emphasized Manuel Fernández, President of Repacar.
