MPH1865 innovates with the Impact Indicator®

The sanitary and household paper producer MPH1865 (formerly MP Hygiène), a leading French company in the manufacture and transformation of professional hygiene products, announces the launch of its Impact Indicator®. This innovation in environmental management is featured on the packaging of products in its Renovelar range. Calculated using the ClimatePartner methodology, this indicator clearly displays the carbon impact of each reference, allowing user companies to visualize and act on reducing their own ecological footprint.

To date, ten products – all ranges combined, including 3 from the Renovelar range – have been verified and completed by ClimatePartner, with the aim of extending this measurement to the entire range. Half of the products evaluated have a QR code leading to their Climate-ID Page to consult the detailed analysis of their carbon footprint. On average, Renovelar products generate 40% less CO2e per sheet than the European market average (and -29% on the French market).

In order to provide maximum transparency on its products, MPH1865 works closely with its customers and partners to identify levers for continuous reduction, particularly on packaging, energy supply, manufacturing and distribution processes. This approach is embodied in particular in the redesign of product.

“We are proud to be able to offer our customers this unique tool on the market,” explains Laure Miribel, Deputy Managing Director of MPH1865. “We are pioneers on the subject of carbon footprint and our priority is to continually reduce the environmental impact of our activities and those of our customers. Thanks to this new measurement tool, we support our customers, whether they are in the industrial, health, hotel or community sectors, to study together, according to their needs, the product that will be the most suitable with the lowest environmental impact.”

With nearly 300 employees, MPH1865 achieved a turnover of 140 million euros in 2023.
