Michele Noera new Sustainability and Energy Transition Manager at Lucart

Lucart, a multinational paper group known for its Tenderly, Grazie Natural and Tutto Pannocarta brands, has appointed Michele Noera to the role of Sustainability and Energy Transition Manager. With the inclusion of this new function, Lucart is taking a further step towards the ambitious goal of optimising the paper mill’s energy transition processes, continuing the path of self-production and efficiency already underway and strengthening the company’s strategy in the various areas of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

A graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Genova, Noera began his career 25 years ago in large companies such as Enel, in the role of Project Leader, and Enviro, as Alternative Energy Project Manager. From 2008 to 2023, he was part of the Amadori Group, first as Energy Manager and later as Environment and Energy Manager.

“I am thrilled to be part of the Lucart family, where I have found a well-established base of corporate culture built over 70 years of history spent pursuing innovation and sustainability,’ explains Michele Noera, Lucart’s Sustainability and Energy Transition Manager. “The future of energy is not only about self-production and the transition to renewable and alternative sources, but also the valorisation of waste with a view to circularity. My sustainable vision of the future aims to involve all the players in the supply chain, who can no longer reason in watertight compartments, each from their own point of view, but must pursue a principle of extended and participatory responsibility’.

Noera’s appointment and the opening of a new function comes at a time when Lucart’s focus on sustainability has already reached full maturity, as demonstrated by the 18 Sustainability Reports presented in the company’s 70-year history:

“We are delighted to welcome Michele Noera to the Group to coordinate the many ambitious projects in the ESG field that are already planned or in the planning stage,” says Massimo Pasquini, CEO and Chairman of Lucart. “Over the years, we have worked hard to make these concepts increasingly horizontal, trying to spread a real culture of sustainability within the company. Today, the time is ripe to add another piece to our commitment to share a sustainable future with our stakeholders.'”

Noera will play a key strategic dual role, both for the supply chain’s green energy transition path, and for the consolidation of the CSR areas in which Lucart operates, also acting as a facilitator with a view to sustainable process development.
