MEL Macedonian Paper Mills S.S.A. in Thessaloniki, Greece, has successfully started up a #RunEco vacuum system. The system includes two EP600 Turbo Blowers, EcoDrop and EcoSep water separators and EcoFlow dewatering measurement system. It replaces existing liquid ring pumps, resulting in significant energy and water savings.
EP Turbo Blowers are of variable speed and capacity. Adjustability is one the key benefits of RunEco vacuum system. With EcoFlow dewatering measurement, the operators can see online what is going on with the dewatering positions, and adjust the vacuum on the needed level. Improved energy and water efficiency of the EP Turbo Blower result in a short payback time.
MEL produces coated cardboard and is the largest paper recycling and cardboard manufacturing company in Greece. MEL joined Pak Group in 2012.
