Kemira, a global chemicals company, announces price increases for all polymer products in the EMEA region across all segments. The price increases will become effective as of February 1st, 2021 or as contract terms allow.
Recent economic rebound and positive developments in many downstream markets have led to unforeseen cost increases. As a consequence, costs of key raw materials have increased considerably driven by strong demand and increased feedstock costs. In addition, increased regulatory requirements and substantial increases in logistics costs across the European continent, driven by the introduction of CO2 tax in Germany, as well as increased overseas freight and Brexit related costs, make this price adjustment necessary.
The following price increases will become effective as of February 1st, 2021 or as contract terms allow:
Product line | Price increase |
Dry powder polymers | +8 – 12% |
Emulsion polymers | +4 – 10% |
Polyamines & other liquid polymers | +6 – 8% |
Price increases will vary based on geographic region and will differ by product type and may be higher in selected areas.
Kemira continues to be committed as a long-standing supplier of high-quality products and solutions for the water intensive industries in the EMEA region.
