Jagenberg Paper GmbH, based in Krefeld, Germany, is an expert in the manufacture and modernization of machinery and equipment for the paper industry. The company offers internationally customized solutions tailored to customer needs.
The two VariTop winders are to be rebuilt and modernized to increase occupational safety, technical availability and capacity.
A previous safety audit will serve as the basis for the safety-related rebuild.
The rebuild measures essentially comprise the following trades:
- Upgrade machine control system
- New drive control system
- Various safety components
- Automatic upper knife adjustment
- Manual splice device reel spool change
- Cold glue splicing device
UPM Communication Papers is the world’s leading manufacturer of graphic papers, offering a wide range of products to its customers in the advertising and publishing industries and to users in the home and office sectors.
Coated and uncoated magazine papers (LWC, SC) are produced at the Plattling site with approximately 480 employees.
