The Swedish industry supplier Intertechna specialises in measurements and calibrations, helping the industry avoiding unnecessary disruptions and succeed with efficient maintenance. Recently Intertechna landed a gratifying agreement with the giant ball bearing company SKF.
”It is a huge opportunity”, says Janne Persson, CEO of Intertechna.
The success story started two years ago when Intertechna became a business agent of a small but very smart digital device called Bluvision. Bluvision is a wireless and automatic sensor monitoring rotating machines in all industries.
The sensor is no bigger than a USB flash drive, but has incredible capacity. It monitors vibration, temperature, magnetism and light, and is easily glued to the machine. If a machine deviates from the norm, alarms and information are sent wirelessly to a cloud-based service. And the best part is it can save a lot of money. A single sensor costs less than 100 Euro.
SKF integrate the Bluvision
The swedish company SKF on their part deliver various bearings to industries all over the world. Their main competence is rotating applications. As from now SKF will integrate the Bluvision sensor into their analysis tools.
”SKF has chosen something that they believe in and can be implemented globally. With Bluvision the staff gets one hundred percent control over the plant and can see exactly what is interfering with the production”, says Janne Persson.
As of today, Intertechna has 10 employees, but thanks to the new agreement with SKF they need to expand.
”With such a good product, we need to be twice as many. We´re prepared to grow”.
Intertechna is a member of Paper Province, a business cluster that is owned and operated by its more than 100 member companies, working together towards sustainable development.
