Heinzel Group will invest roughly 42 million euros in further expanding the pulp production at its Styrian location in Pöls (Austria). By the end of 2021, this investment will enable the production of up to 100,000 metric tons of brown (unbleached) pulp, which can be used as the basis for brown kraft paper, in addition to the production of white (NBSK) pulp in the future.
The packaging paper market continues to record strong growth. With its diversified product range, Zellstoff Pöls underlines the great importance of sustainable packaging made of paper, sending a clear signal as a responsible and eco-friendly industrial company.
“In the future we will be able to produce more than 500,000 metric tons of white and brown pulp in Pöls. We thus continue to pursue our ambitious growth course in the area of sustainable packaging paper and create the basis for the construction of another paper machine,” explains Kurt Maier, CEO of Heinzel Group.
