CMPC, the pulp, tissue and packaging paper manufacturer from Chile, has signed a US$ 13 million agreement to acquire from Grupo Calidra its paper bag manufacturing subsidiary, Samcarsa.
Samcarsa is dedicated to converting paper bags for lime packaging, construction materials, and other products. It has a plant located in Irapuato, Mexico.
The plant has a production capacity of 60 million bags per year and an industrial warehouse of 5,760 m2, located on 44,000 m2 of land.
Starting today, June 2, 2020, the Samcarsa operation will be integrated into the operations of the Sack Kraft division of CMPC Biopackaging in Mexico.
