Clarification regarding the planned production shutdown at Bravikens Paper Mill

In Holmen’s interim report for January-June 20204, it was announced that the ongoing investment project to develop the book paper offering and increase packaging paper production, will result in a one-month production shutdown at Braviken Paper Mill in the fourth quarter. However, the production stoppage does not affect the entire paper mill but one of Braviken’s two paper machines, PM52.

PM52, will be rebuilt and be out of production for four weeks. However, PM53 will be producing according to plan throughout Q4. The loss of production capacity during the rebuild of PM52 has been compensated through meticulous production planning on the three remaining paper machines and preproduction during the summer months. Thus Holmen will deliver agreed volumes of all products according to contracts and agreements entered.
