The former double-coated fine paper machine Oulu PM6 of Stora Enso in northern Finland will be converted to be Europe’s largest board machine and all pulpers naturally have to be of mega size to cope with the annual production volume of 750,000 tons of folding boxboard (FBB) and coated kraft back (CKB). Bellmer´s delivery includes totally 13 pulpers with 20 rotors. Installation, operator training, commissioning and start-up services are integral part of the contract.
Bellmer pulper technology is well known to Stora Enso Oulu mill, while similar equipment have been delivered to all pulper positions of previous project of Oulu BM7 in 2020. Bellmer masters well the combination of brand new state-of-the-art pulpers with refurbishing of old equipment and can thus provide very sustainable and cost-effective pulper solutions. The pulpers of BM7 have been reliable and cost-effective since start-up and the same will be repeated on BM6.

Bellmer Finland manufactures pulpers at Hollola workshop in Lahti region. Deliveries and mechanical installations of the equipment are scheduled for late 2023 and Q1/2024. Production will be started-up in early 2025.
