ANDRITZ has successfully completed the installation and start-up of the PrimeDry Yankee Hood HT and air system on the PM1 tissue machine at Northwood Tissue, Chesterfield mill, England!
The new, gas-heated, high-temperature hood features an impingement temperature of up to 530 °C that will increase the drying capacity and heat transfer rate, with remarkable energy optimization and cost-efficient tissue production.
The first paper reel was on the pope on July 26, successfully meeting the scheduled machine shutdown for dismantling the old equipment, installing and commissioning the new drying section. The machine has been operating continuously ever since.
