A real case about internationalization, halfway between training and business life
At the end of October, during the seminary focused on “the international business strategy”, the Department of Business and Legal Studies (DISAG) of the prestigious University of Siena organized a series of conferences.
Alessandro Celli, President and CEO of A.Celli Nonwovens SpA and Vice President of A.Celli Paper SpA, was invited to give a speech on the topic: “Global internationalization strategies” by Prof. Lorenzo Zanni, teacher at DISAG Department, as well as Rector’s delegate for the “promotion and coordination of relationships with companies and public institutions and technology transfer”.
The presentation was addressed to an audience of about 70 students, 50% foreigners coming from 15 different countries, who attend the “International Accounting Management” course. Many topics have been addressed, illustrating the access pillars for any business organization wishing to internationalize its structure.
Mr. Celli illustrated most common and winning strategies: he spoke about the great opportunities and potential failures associated in the globalization process and provided real risks examples which must be faced, in dealing with this kind of organizational evolution (underlining the relative successes and issues).
“It was a real privilege to be asked to give a speech at the conference of the renowned University of Siena,” said Alessandro Celli; “it was a great opportunity to meet young and motivated students to talk about internationalization, looking at A.Celli Group’s experience as a true example of what really happens in the business world”.
A collaboration agreement was signed between the University of Siena and the A.Celli group aimed at strengthening university-business relations.
