MPH1865 (formerly MP Hygiène), a French specialist in the manufacturing and converting of AFH (Away-from-Home) products, has started up its new Touch Max converting machine supplied by Gambini. Representing an investment of nearly €5 million, this equipment (the brand’s third) features a unique embossing process. With a capacity of 12,000 tpy, it will produce paper towels for professionals in the Renovelar range, MPH1865’s new premium brand. Thanks to its unique embossing process, it optimizes the softness, absorbency, and strength of the tissue paper.
This equipment will also enable advanced data analysis thanks to the integration of AI. In addition, it will contribute to improving the working conditions of operators, who were able to receive training directly from the manufacturer.
“The launch of this machine embodies the DNA of MPH1865: the combination of innovation, professional excellence and environmental responsibility,” said François Miribel, Deputy General Manager of MPH1865. “We are convinced that industrial transformation is fueled not only by cutting-edge technologies, but above all by the passionate commitment of our teams. Thanks to this acquisition, which represents a major technological advance for the company, and the excellent training that accompanied it, we are modernizing our processes to create more agile, efficient and sustainable production and strengthening our position in the market.”
To master this technology, eight operators (with an average age of 33) underwent an intensive one-week training course at Gambini, in Tuscany. The hundredth machine manufactured by the Italian company, this line is also the first to be put into service in France for this sector. In just 13 months, MPH1865 has significantly strengthened its industrial converting fleet, now comprising twelve converting machines and six winders.
