On March 1st, Fibre Excellence Provence, located near Avignon (in the south of France), will launch its maintenance shutdown which will last around ten days. The total investment for this work exceeds 3 million euros. The operations will aim to modernize and make the plant more reliable. Around fifteen worksites will be opened across the mill, at the wood yard, the black liquor boiler and the digester. The roof of the fiber line will also be renovated.
To ensure the smooth running of the sites, more than 50 local companies (200 people) in specialized works related to electricity, chemistry, boilermaking and precision mechanics will be deployed. The twin plant Fibre Excellence Saint-Gaudens will also provide additional support by mobilizing qualified staff to ensure safety during this period.
