Kemira’s change negotiations initiated on October 14, 2024 have concluded. As a result of the negotiations 23 employees will be made redundant. The change negotiations covered all Kemira employees in Finland except those in the manufacturing organization. During the negotiations, the planned changes and their reasons, impacts and alternatives were discussed and it was estimated that the planned changes could lead to the reduction of a maximum of 40 employees.
Kemira’s CEO Antti Salminen: ”We have concluded the change negotiation process in constructive spirit with our employee representatives. The objective for Kemira’s new operating model and organization is to increase profitable growth and accelerate the execution of our strategy. We will work towards these objectives with the new organization from January 2025.”
In August, Kemira announced that it planned to renew its operating model and organization to enable profitable growth and sustainability transformation. The planned changes aim to increase customer centricity, strategic focus, speed of delivery and accelerate growth and shareholder value creation. Kemira has approximately 800 employees in Finland, of whom around 280 are in manufacturing.
