ASEAN Paper 2023 is being held this week at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, in conjunction with the massive ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week exhibition. Thailand is a hub for many international companies operating in Asia. Thus it makes sense to have a major regional event for the paper industry taking place in Bangkok.
It was launched today by Informa’s Co-Chairman, Mr Patrapee Chinachoti, and representatives of the pulp and paper industry associations from the region like Thailand’s TPPIA and FTI, India’s IARPMA, Myanmar’s MPPIA, and the Federation of ASEAN Pulp & Paper Industries.
The conference programme includes technical presentations from Voith, Valmet, ABB as well as market trends perspectives by Informa Market, Afry, Titoevry, SGS and the Federation of ASEAN Pulp and Paper Association (FAPPI).
The exhibition floor welcomes mainly Thai and Chinese suppliers of paper and industrial equipment. The Europeans are poorly represented, apart from ProJet BV, Voith, Cellwood AB and UPM.
