Lessebo Paper announces today its partnership with Legion paper to represent its portfolio of environmentally friendly, high quality paper qualities in the United States. Lessebo Paper has been producing paper since 1693, making it one of the oldest paper manufacturers in Sweden. The company focuses on sustainable and innovative uncoated graphic paper in the premium segment, consisting of Lessebo Colours, Lessebo Design and Lessebo Digital.
The Lessebo Paper mill is proud to have been recognised as the first paper mill in the world to be awarded the Cradle to Cradle Certification® at Gold level, which is a globally recognised measure of safe, sustainable products made for the circular economy. All Lessebo paper qualities are manufactured in Sweden using chlorine-free pulp (TCF) sourced from locally harvested Birch. For every tree felled, at least two new trees are planted. The result is an environmentally friendly, acid free paper with a matt, non-reflective surface that is resistant to ageing in accordance with ISO 9706. In addition to that, Lessebo Paper also has one of the lowest CO2 emissions in the paper industry.
Legion Paper is the largest supplier of fine art paper in North America. The cooperation between Lessebo Paper and Legion Paper combines the breadth of Legion’s logistics, distribution, marketing, sales and customer relation expertise with Lessebo Paper’s world-class quality, consistence, and environmental profile.
“We are proud to be working together with the accomplished paper experts at Legion Paper. Their single-minded attention to the premium paper segment reinforces Lessebo Paper’s commitment to offering environmentally friendly paper qualities. Our ability to support and serve the US market, combined with Legion’s deep relationships in the industry, will help us both to grow and support this remarkable business.” states John Tucker, Sales Manager at Lessebo Paper in North and South America, Asia and South Africa.
